Melanocyt čili pigmentová buňka je typ živočišných buněk roztroušených ve svrchní vrstvě pokožky[1] a ve vlasových folikulech,[2] mimo to však také v oční živnatce[3], vnitřním uchu[4], mozkových plenách,[5] kostech[6] i v srdci.[7] Melanocyty produkují pigment melanin a jsou neuroektodermálního původu.[2]
